I am a Licensed
Clinical Psychologist in the state of Wisconsin and the Clinical
Director of Lake Country Counseling Services. I achieved a Bachelor of
Science degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh
in 1985. I completed my graduate work at the University of South
Florida, achieving a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Clinical
Psychology.
In 1989, I moved to Philadelphia, where I lived and worked
for 11 years before my husband and I decided to bring our family back
to our roots in Wisconsin. In February of 2001, I joined the Alliance
Counseling Center in Hartland, WI. In July 2008, I began Lake Country Counseling Services in Pewaukee, WI, with the intention of bringing quality mental health
care to the Lake Country Communities.
With
over 18 years of experience in the fields of Alcohol & Drug and
Mental Health Treatment, I have worked in a variety of both inpatient
and outpatient settings. While the majority of my experience has been
in providing direct clinical care (therapy, testing, education), I have
also been involved in professional training, clinical supervision,
program development, and program management. Before moving back to
Wisconsin, I was the Director of Residential, Partial-Hospitalization,
and Dual Diagnosis Services at Livengrin Foundation, a drug and alcohol
treatment center. Throughout my career, I have held a strong commitment
to providing effective treatment for the unique needs of women. That’s
why I’m so proud of the gender specific Alcohol and Drug Treatment
programming we have developed at Lake Country Counseling. (Read more about my Women’s
Recovery Group).
Recognizing
that optimal health and well-being requires an integration of mind,
body and spirit, I utilize a holistic approach to treatment, focusing
on the unique needs and goals of the individual. I work with older
adolescents and adults, providing individual, family and couples
counseling. My goal is to help you help yourself.
