I am a a Licensed
Professional Counselor in the State of Wisconsin, a National Certified Counselor and a member of the American Counseling Association.
My
approach to helping you improve your life will be compassionate and
solution-oriented. I believe you are your own best expert, but that life and
relationships sometimes cloud our ability to cope and function optimally on a
daily basis. My job will be to help you regain clarity, access your strengths,
and increase your coping skills to meet each new day feeling healthier, lighter
and more self-aware.
My
areas of expertise include navigating family change and life adjustments, coming
out & other issues related to identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual or
transgender, relationship abuse, and healing after trauma.
Additional
areas of specialty include managing anxiety, building self-esteem, living with
a disability, adoption and foster care, how to cope with bullying, and women's
issues.
I
have provided counseling services at The Women’s Center, Family Service of
Waukesha and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation I earned my MS in
Counseling from UW-Whitewater and my BA in Sociology from UW-Milwaukee. I do
